This movie is definitely worth watching if for no other reason than we get to see Jerry Seinfeld making it rain in a strip club. So many funny moments with a prefect balance of drama. Its a very Woody Allen-esque romantic comedy. This scene takes place an hour into the film when Rock & Dawson are strolling around Manhattan and end up in a liquor store where they come across this nearly irresistible bourbon.

My only complaint about this commercial is that it's too short. Check out the making-of video below to see how this innovative ad was created. I assumed that (like everything nowadays) it was CGI effects as opposed to practical in-camera effects. Most impressive.

It's hard to believe that it has been nearly 3 years since our last Red Label sighting. Over the last 4 years we've featured the old JW Red being enjoyed by everyone from John Hamm, to Ryan Reynolds, to Angelina Jolie. Even Superman himself has been known to have a sip of this classic blend. Not sure why it hasn't been popping up more frequently in recent years.
The scene above is from the 2014 Paul Thomas Anderson film Inherent Vice. Look for it about an hour and 25 minutes in. Screenshots and artwork below.
Thanks to Meleklerin Payi for the sighting.

If you haven't seen this outstanding TV spot which Johnnie Walker produced to ring in the new year then check it out below. Come to think of it, it's probably best to watch the commercial before you watch the making-of video. Johnnie Walker never ceases to impress with their ambitious ad campaigns and this particular one entitled "The Next Step" is no exception.
Here is the finished product
and here's how they did it

You have got to see this outstanding Suntory commercial created by TBWA/Hakuhodo ad agency. Using an app called Autodesk 123D, the managed to scan images of iconic objects and characters and then 3D print (carve?) these amazing ice masterpieces. It seems like such a waste to create something so beautiful only to have them melt away. But I'm sure a few icy cold sips of Suntory whisky would help to ease the pain of watching them slowly disappear.
Check out a boat load of other fantastic creations below.

Here's a clip of the very popular Glencallan single malt scotch from Chicago PD season 2 episode 17. I bet Glencallan would be even more popular if it was real. Alas, it shall forever be the most ubiquitous fake scotch in television history. Here's a pile of previous Glencallan scenes with varying age statements.
Glencallan 35 in Sons of Anarchy
Glencallan 30 in Burn Notice
Glencallan 21 in Nip/Tuck
Glencallan 18 in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Glencallan 40 in Community
Glencallan 1962 in Hart of Dixie
Glencallan in Grey's Anatomy
Glencallan in Breakout Kings

I love scenes like this one which buck the stereotype of scotch being strictly a man's drink. Nothing like seeing to powerful sophisticated ladies drinking Chivas and playing some beer pong. This clip is from season 3 episode 3 of House of Cards and features the first lady enjoying a late night drink with the secretary of state. Check out the other two scotch sightings and one bourbon sighting from previous episodes of this fantastic Netflix original series.
And here's some great House of Cards artwork I tracked down.
