Highland Park 25 in the "Ray Donovan" Series Premiere

There have been over 250 scotch sightings on this site and we've never seen a Highland Park.....until now!  The series premiere of Ray Donovan features the 25 year about 37 minutes into the episode.  I've never tasted a Highland Park expression that I didn't love but I haven't had a chance to try the 25 yet.  If anyone wants to send me a sample I will reward you handsomely as I can not find it anywhere in Canada.  Watch the scene and check out a few pics below. Stay tuned for many more Ray Donovan scotch sightings.  Most episodes feature a single malt or two and I got 'em all ready to go...

Black Label Appearance from "This is the End"

Fairly early into the 2013 comedy This is the End, all hell breaks loose.  So what does one do when armageddon rains hellfire down on one's neighborhood?  I don't know about you, but I would definitely be reaching for the closest bottle of Black Label.

I loved this movie almost as much as I love this blend.  Check out the scene and some screenshots below, but don't forget to watch the whole film if you haven't already.  All six comedic actors bring the hilarity here, but the guy who got me laughing so hard I nearly puked was Jonah Hill.  His performance is not to be missed.

Clyburn in The Place Beyond the Pines

Now here's somehing I didn't see coming.  A freakin' Clyburn sighting.  This has got to be the quickest glimpse of a product that has ever been featured on this site.  The fake scotch known as Clyburn shows up at about 1:58:00 into the brilliant 2012 movie The Place Beyond the Pines, and once again I had to freeze-frame a few times in order to catch it.

I highly recommend this movie and if you don't know anything about it then keep it that way.  Just watch it from the beginning without even seeing a trailer.  I knew very little about the plot or even who starred in it and I'm better off for having gone in blind.

Check out the video and some alternate artwork and click here & here for the previous Clyburn sightings.

Very Brief, Very Old Jameson in Boardwalk Empire

This was not an easy bottle to identify.  Thank goodness for my 52" 1080p television and digital cable signal.  After watching this scene from season 4 episode 7 several times, I was barely able to read "John Jame---" at the top of the label on the bottle in Eli's (Shea Whigham) hand.  I tracked down a photo of the vintage "John Jameson & Sons" bottle and posted it below along with some alternate artwork.

I'd just like to mention that this was a great scene from a great episode.  I love the fact that an actor as talented as Whigham is starting to pop up in great movies like American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street.  His performances throughout the last four seasons of Boardwalk Empire have been superb. Check out the clip below.
