Not really sure what to say about this clip. After searching the far reaches of the universe (google) for any info on "Oliver Samuel" brand whisky we've turned up nada.
Big thanks to Dr. Dramkenstein for sending us this sighting from season 2 episode 2 of Blue Bloods starring Tom Selleck. You can check out Dr. D's site here. We were going to discontinue these mystery malt sightings but since people seem to like them and since we keep receiving tips there's no reason to stop. They are worthwhile if for no other reason than the quirky fake labels. Tweet

Black Label in "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
Follow @ScotchCinema
The term "scotch sighting" doesn't really seem appropriate for this particular clip. A better word for what you're about to watch would be "glimpse". There are actually two brief Black Label appearances in Raiders of the Lost Ark but try not to blink or you'll surely miss 'em both.
Normally we wouldn't include such a short clip on this site but an exception will always be made in the case of Harrison Ford movies. Anyone familiar with the history of this site knows that Mr. Ford is the reigning king of scotch on the silver screen.
You can watch all of our previous Harrison Ford scenes here, and here's the link to all of our Johnnie Walker sightings.

Hope You "Like" the Scotch Cinema Facebook Page
Since this site is primarily dedicated to video clips of scotch sightings, I figured a Facebook page would be a better place to add photos, personal updates, articles, and links. It will be updated regularly so swing by and check it out if you are so inclined. You can see it here, or simply click the "Like" button over on the right.
The page is brand new but there will be many updates coming shortly. And don't forget to follow Scotch Cinema on Twitter if you really want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Cooking with Chivas on "Top Chef"
Follow @ScotchCinema
Had to post this clip. Any time we get to witness someone cooking with Chivas in an attempt to impress Adam Horovitz aka Ad Rock (aka Sharp Cheddar) from the Beastie Boys it must not be ignored. The Beasties have spat out seemingly endless rhymes about about food and drink throughout their 30 year career. Even singing the praises of Chivas & Ballentine's. Therefore, eating a dessert made with whisky only seems fitting.
There was a half-assed attempt to block out the Chivas label with tape but the classic design of the bottle is undeniable. These clips are from Season 2 episode 6 of Top Chef: Just Desserts.

UPDATE: Every "Blade Runner" Black Label Sighting
http://twitter.com/ScotchCinema
Since we’ve officially reached the 6 month mark of Scotch Cinema’s existence, now is a great time to revisit our inaugural post. Way back in April we featured only one of the Black Label appearances in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. The second futuristic Black Label sighting was originally passed over due to poor editing skills and being in a rush to get the site off the ground. You can tell by the poor video quality in the original clip. The updated video below contains all of the Black Label sightings together. It is also a great excuse to feature Harrison Ford in yet another post. After all, he is our de facto mascot.

Many of the original videos are being updated and reposted in hi-def as the site migrates content from YouTube to Vimeo. YouTube is an amazing site but their copyright policies are insanely strict. Have fun checking through our archives. Any requests, tips, or suggestions are always appreciated.

Hennigan's Scotch Scenes From "Seinfeld"
Follow @ScotchCinema
The clips you're about to watch took quite a while to find but the end result was definitely worth the effort. The phoney Scotch known simply as "Hennigan's" has been referenced in four different scenes from three episodes of "Seinfeld". Hennigans Scotch was actually a bit of a running gag throughout season three.
We've been told that Hennigan's has been mentioned at least one other time throughout the series but have yet to locate the specific scene.
All of the appearances and mentions of Hennigan's have been compiled into one video for you viewing pleasure. The episode titles are listed also. Check out the clip and some funny Hennigan's pictures below.

Jason Bateman Chugs Scotch in "Horrible Bosses"
Follow @ScotchCinema
This 2011 comedy is definitely worth watching for Jennifer Aniston alone. Don't get me wrong. The movie itself is hilarious but Aniston single-handedly elevates the viewing experience from a 7 to a solid 8.5.
She unfortunately doesn't appear in the scene you're about to watch below. Guess you'll just have to run out and get the dvd. Those of you who have already watched "Horrible Bosses" know exactly what we're talking about.
The 18 year old scotch shows up at the 6:30 mark when Nick Hendricks (Bateman) is tricked into drinking a full glass by his boss played by Kevin Spacey. What's so horrible about that? Sounds like the world's greatest boss!

Christopher Hitchens Talks Scotch on "Real Time: With Bill Maher"
Follow @ScotchCinema
Found these great clips of controversial writer/polemicist Christopher Hitchens professing his affinity for blended scotch whisky. Anyone who is a fan of Hitch knows that he loves to indulge in cigarettes and a good scotch. He quit smoking back in 2007 while going through a complete self-improvement metamorphosis. The whole ordeal was chronicled in this Vanity Fair magazine piece and it is quite fascinating, as is most of his writing.
It is safe to assume that his recent (non-whisky related) health problems have stopped him from enjoying the aqua vitae he loves so much. Hopefully he'll be back to his old self soon. He's certainly the kind of fellow we'd love to share a bottle with.

Hitchens comes on screen about 30 seconds into this Real Time clip:

Our Third "Supernatural" Encounter...
Follow @ScotchCinema
Now that season seven of Supernatural is upon us there's no better time to dust off the third clip from our Supernatural series. Click here for the previous clips.
This is another Johnnie Walker Blue Label sighting. Sorry to disappoint if you were hoping for something more obscure but Blue Label is actually somewhat integral to the show.
SPOILER ALERT: The scene you're about to watch is from the end of the season six episode entitled "And Then There Were None" in which a major character gets killed off. Bobby (Jim Beaver) is pouring out some Blue Label on his deceased friend's grave before taking a drink himself.

Balvenie & Glenfiddich Spotted in "Edison"
Follow @ScotchCinema
Every once in a while a film comes along which makes you sit back in awe at just how amazing it is. "Edison" is one of those films, but not for the reasons you might think. You will be in awe and you will be amazed. However it will be because "Edison" is amazingly terrible and you'll be in awe of how bad it stinks. It's a rare feat for a movie to get a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but this one managed to pull it off.
Watching this movie is like watching an employee orientation and training video without all the action and excitement. It is so bad that they can't even get the name of the movie correct. See for yourself.
Edison Force's only redeeming quality is the fact that there are FOUR scotch sightings contained within it. We've done you a huge solid by filtering through the nearly two hours of mind-numbing banal drivel in order to show you the only five minutes that are worth watching. How these A-list stars agreed to do this film is a mystery for the ages. They must have paid them in Balvenie Doublewood and 15 year old Glenfiddich. Click here & here for our previous Balvenie and Glenfiddich sightings. Tweet

Tom Cruise Drinks 25 Year Old Scotch in "Eyes Wide Shut"
Follow @ScotchCinema
Though there isn't an actual brand identified in this scene it had to be posted because it involves two master Directors. Stanley Kubrick and Sydney Pollack both have amazing filmographies and it is great to see them collaborate in the same film. Kubrick passed away in 1999 and Pollack in 2008.
Did I mention that Tom Cruise is in this scene too? This is actually our second post featuring Cruise. The scene takes place 2 hours and 5 minutes into the film. We spotted a Dalwhinnie bottle on the table. Let us know if you can spot any other brands.

Ron Burgundy Orders Glenlivet in "Anchorman"
Follow @ScotchCinema
By popular demand. We had intended to post this scene back when Scotch Cinema first started but were bombarded with so many sightings that it had to sit on the bench for a while. The clip didn't even make the cut during Glenlivet Week but it is here now.
Several words could be used to describe both Glenlivet and Ron Burgundy. A few which come to mind are iconic, and legendary, but the most concise and accurate word would simply be..."Classy".
The clip below contains the classic "Scotchy scotch" line from the opening credits, and the lounge scene from the 31:12 mark in the film.
